As Founder & CEO of TPI Group, Inc., Morteza has nearly 30 years of experience in providing tax planning, accounting and financial consulting services for individuals as well as small businesses.

In 1980, Morteza graduated/obtained his MBA from Dallas University where he soon began working as a Comptroller for a Fortune 500 company . . . after nearly a decade of using his talents in the private sector he branched out to create Tax Plus in Northern Virginia.

Through TPI, he offers a full array of accounting, financial, taxation, investments and estate planning services. As a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner, Morteza is uniquely positioned to offer the best of both worlds, comprehensive financial planning strategies combined with valuable expertise with tax-efficient solutions.

Robert is an accomplished attorney with more than twenty years experience primarily focused in the areas of tax law as well as estate and business planning. His expertise also covers trusts, estate planning, taxation, special needs trusts along with probate and trust administration. Necole’s key strengths lies in recognizing and handling sensitive data with a special focus on ensuring its confidentiality and integrity. Her strong attention to detail with exceptional time management skills which resonates with our clientele.

Necole believes in community service, so in her off time, she enjoys giving back to her community through charity outreach work with women, youth, and seniors.

With twelve years of industry experience, Abbas assists with multiple tax functions and provides analytical and technical support in our accounting division. He is also responsible for aiding with preparation of income tax provision, providing support in the preparation and review of tax returns in compliance with tax laws and regulations, supporting tax research as well as tax compliance activities.

Alex Carter is an experienced loan originator who ensures that the TPI mortgage team provides quality products and services to homeowners in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. As the Director of Mortgage, Alex has extensive knowledge in managing tight deadlines in fast-changing real estate environments.

Whether you are buying your first home or looking to reduce your monthly mortgage payment, Alex is the person to go to. Being a U.S. Army Veteran, Alex prides himself on compliance and efficiency. With years of experience in the mortgage industry, he certifies that closings are done accurately and timely.

With over 20 years as a tax professional, Ali has helped individuals, families, businesses, as well as nonprofit organizations, navigate the complex US Tax Code. His years of experience and ongoing tax education enable him to solve the most complex tax issues.

Prior to his tax and accounting career, Ali works for more than a decade as a trader on Wall Street. His understanding of business, economics, and commerce just boosts his level of knowledge, experience, and professionalism with clients.

Given his years and depth of expertise, Ali enjoys giving back to the next generation of tax professionals by mentoring college students and other young tax preparers. He also enjoys traveling and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Wendy has over 25 years’ experience in both public and private accounting in the DMV. With an Accounting degree from Auburn University and a master’s in taxation from American University, she provides a wide range of accounting experience which enables her to provide relevant and timely advice and assistance to business owners with their internal, financial reporting, forecasting and ultimately the development and implementation of growth, sustainability and succession plans.

Wendy’s true strengths lie in her comprehensive tax preparation and accounting services, coupled with technical and analytical advice to individuals, families and business owners.

Wendy believes in family and community and in her spare time she enjoys spending time with her four children, husband and animals.

Mehrdad is a bright and meticulous individual who has extensive knowledge of accounting principles. He is a results-oriented professional who can accomplish multiple objectives in a specified timeframe. Through his work with many business owners, Mehrdad has the ability to quickly learn and understand any accounting system, procedures and requirements of varied business industries. His key areas of expertise are accounts receivable, accounts payable, monthly reconciliation along with a proficiency in financial reporting.

On a personal note, he has a friendly attitude that helps him to confidently communicated with people at all levels of a business. Mehrdad is also a new father and in his spare time he enjoys family activities with his wife and young son.

Lauren is the office administrator for TPI Group Inc. In this role, she works with our tax division, team of accountants, and mortgage department. Lauren supports our team by welcoming clients, answering phone calls, and handling incoming and outgoing mail. She coordinates the office calendar, making sure that meetings are organized accordingly.

Highly self-motivated, Lauren excels with multi-tasking and time management. By overseeing day-to-day operations, she ensures efficiency and compliance. Lauren prides herself on her concise communication skills and passion for helping clients.

Marketing Assistant

With a background in English and technical communication, Kelly works with writing, editing, and publishing content for TPI Group Inc. As a marketing assistant she monitors social media and current trends in the news. She works closely with the tax division, mortgage department, and administrative team to ensure current and relevant material is communicated effectively. Kelly is passionate about helping others and strives to cultivate a positive experience with her professional contacts. Her various experience in customer service combined with her organizational skills enhance her ability to best serve our clients’ needs.
